The last out was made in 1959 and the era of Austin Senators Central Texas baseball came to a close. The Austin Senators were one of the original Minor League Baseball teams to play affiliated baseball in the great state of Texas. And now after all these years… They are back! The Round Rock Express will once again play as the Austin Senators in 2022 featuring revamped uniforms and slick new lids to pay homage to the once famous Texas team. The 2022 on-field cap will now feature the Senators primary mark with a baseball wearing a cowboy hat. Fans will surely enjoy watching the Senators name make its comeback at Dell Diamond.
